GoGuardian Student Offline
If a student is showing as offline in GoGuardian Teacher, it typically means their Chromebook is not properly syncing with their Google account or GoGuardian’s extensions are not functioning correctly. This can happen for various reasons, including network disruptions, outdated extensions, or the browser not loading GoGuardian properly. To fix this issue, follow the below steps. 1. Have the student open a new tab in Google Chrome
Be sure to save anything the student is working on at the moment.
2. In the address bar, type chrome://restart and press Enter
This will force Chrome to shut down and restart. When Chrome reopens, it will automatically reload all extensions, including GoGuardian.
3. Check if the student appears online in GoGuardian Teacher
If they are still offline, restart the Chromebook and then confirm they are connected to the internet.
You student should now be visible in GoGuardian Teacher. Should you run into any issues, don’t hesitate to submit a ticket. We’re here to help!
